The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a non-political
volunteer women's service organization, comprising 3,000 chapters and over 185,00 members.

We would love to talk to you about becoming a member of the National Society.

Together we can achieve many important things!

Youghiogheny Glades Chapter NSDAR meets the third Monday of the month, April thru October.

In addition to business meetings, we visit historical sites, work on service projects, pursue genealogy research, provide scholarship opportunities to local students, promote patriotism, support our veterans, raise awareness on women’s issues, and we look for opportunities to educate those around us on the importance of environmental conservation. 

 As of December 7, 2017, we celebrated our 60th year as a chapter!

Charter Hanging Ceremony

Our Charter will be hung and displayed at the Ruth Enlow Library in Oakland, Maryland,

on April 27, at 1:00pm.  

A reception will follow.

 

A Night of History & Dinner

May 5 at 5:00pm, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Oakland, Maryland.

A Living History presentation by JoAnn Peterson of 

First Lady, Mary Todd Lincoln.

Reservations required.  Tickets $20.00. 

 

Travel to New York City and Philadelphia

and leave the driving to us!
